Everything you need to know about joining your club, logging catches, and competing for season awards across Papua New Guinea's game fishing clubs.
Angler Hub is the official digital platform for Papua New Guinea's six GFA member clubs. It replaces paper-based catch logging, manual scoring, and spreadsheet leaderboards with a modern app that works on any device β even offline in remote fishing locations.
Record game fish and tag-and-release with photos, species, weight, and line class.
Points calculated automatically. Season awards, trophies, and competition prizes.
GPS-powered location mapping with NATO grid system for each club's waters.
Log catches with no signal. Everything syncs when you reconnect.
Real-time standings for anglers and boats across the season.
Six clubs, one platform. Club-specific rules, species, and scoring.
Tip: Use the same email your club has on file β the system will match your account to your existing membership automatically.
Create Account βAfter a fishing trip, log each catch with the species, weight (if weighed), line class, and whether it was a capture or tag-and-release. Add photos as evidence for your club's records.
Works offline: No mobile signal at the fishing grounds? No problem. Log catches offline and they'll sync automatically when you're back in range.
Your club's committee reviews submitted catches. Once approved, points are calculated automatically based on your club's scoring rules β species multipliers, line class, billfish ratios, and more.
You'll receive a notification when your catch is approved (or if more info is needed).
Approved catches count toward your season total. Track your ranking against other anglers and boats on the live leaderboard. Compete in monthly competitions and end-of-season awards.
At the end of the season, awards are calculated automatically β Champion Angler, Champion Boat, Champion Junior, species records, and more. Each club configures its own award categories and rules.
Each club has its own scoring configuration. Points are based on the species caught, the line class used, and whether the fish was kept or released. Here's the general idea:
Species like marlin, tuna, mahi mahi, and trevally earn competition points. Points vary by species category (billfish, shark, gamefish) and line class.
Releasing fish (especially billfish) is strongly encouraged. T&R captures earn release points based on species-specific multipliers.
Bottom fish, reef fish, and jigging catches can be logged for your personal record and club data, but don't count toward competition points.
You don't need an account to explore Angler Hub. Without logging in, you can:
Explore 50+ species with identification tips and habitat info
See the top anglers and boats for each club this season
See upcoming and past competition results
Angler Hub works as a Progressive Web App (PWA). You can install it directly from your browser for an app-like experience β and a native iOS app is coming to the App Store.
